POINTS TO NOTE FOR CORRECT APPLICATION:
- The Thermolock package should be used completely as soon as it is opened. It should not be mixed with a shovel, trowel or similar. The mixture should be prepared with a mixer or machine.
- Never use more water than the specified amount.
- The surface on which the product is applied must be firm, clean, dry and free of dust.
- When applied to painted surfaces, the surface should be scored frequently and prepared with a primer.
- Before applying Thermolock, it must be ensured that highly absorbent surfaces are sufficiently dry. If there are pipes or similar in the building, the application must be carried out after their repair.
- The weather conditions must be suitable (+1/+40 degrees Celsius). The product should not be exposed to temperatures below zero for more than seven hours during and after application. It should also be kept away from rain, snow and similar influences for one day.
- The prepared mixture should not be applied to the surface if it has been standing in the container or bucket for a long time and has lost its consistency. Additional water should never be added. The consistency can be restored by re-mixing with a slow speed mixer
Please also note:
- The Thermolock package should be fully used when opened.
- The product should always be mixed with a mixer or concrete mixer (at least 6 minutes).
- When mixing Thermolock KF-S 011, never use more water than the specified quantity (15 liters).
- If, for any reason, the mixture prepared for Thermolock KF-S 011 remains in the container for a longer period of time and loses its consistency, additional water should never be added. The consistency can only be restored by remixing with a slow-speed mixer.
- If Thermolock KF-S 011 is applied to surfaces that have various coatings such as paint, mineral plaster etc., these surfaces should be cleaned to about 70 %.
HOW IS THERMOLOCK USED?
Preparation of the plaster
One bag of THERMOLOCK KF-S 011 Multifunctional Exterior Insulation Plaster is poured into a clean bucket. Add about 15 liters of water and then mix for 6-7 minutes with a slow speed mixer.
Preparation of the surface and filling with Thermolock
The surface to which THERMOLOCK KF-S 011 is applied is cleaned of dust and dirt. After leveling the wall to the desired thickness with a straightedge and fabric-reinforced corners, it is filled and leveled with a previously prepared wall filler using a machine or trowel to complete the first phase.
Top coat and decorative surface
Approximately 4 hours later, the surface is ready for the final coat of KF-S 011 Thermolock. In the second phase, KF-S 011 Thermolock is applied to the prepared and leveled surface to a thickness of 0.5 cm using a trowel. The application of KF-S 011 Thermolock is completed with suitable tools (steel spatula, edge knife, roller, sponge, etc.) for the selection of the decorative surface.
Finishing work and drying time
After 48 hours, the THERMOLOCK KF-S 011 multifunctional exterior insulating render can be painted or cornices and prefabricated applications can be carried out.
